HOW TO GET INVOLVED?

The best way to get involved is to join us at a training session. Sessions run on a Thursday evening (see below for times) during the hockey season (September – April) but if you are unsure or have any questions please use the Contact Us form or message us through our Facebook page.

Thursday evening training

  • 6:00 to 7:15pm Junior training
  • 7:30 to 9:00pm Men’s & Ladies’ senior training

Sticks can be borrowed and we recommend the use of shin pads and mouth guards as well. Whilst hockey is a non-contact sport hockey balls (& sticks) can be moving at speed all over the pitch and we take player safety very seriously.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO PLAY?

There are a number of costs when playing any sport. At Horncastle Hockey Club we try to keep these as low as possible and provide multiple methods of making payments.

The main costs are; membership, match and training fees.

MEMBERSHIP

  • Senior Hockey Membership: £110. Full membership for all club members participating in league hockey (aged 13 and above) (includes all training fees)
  • Family Membership: £110 for each adult with a 50% discount to each child (u16) playing league hockey.
  • Junior Registration Fee: £10 (training fees are separate)

The preferred method of membership payment is by direct debit (via GoCardless). This can be made in a lump sum or split into 5 equal monthly instalments. The club can help on an individual basis if costs prove prohibitive to playing; we don’t want money to get in the way of enjoying hockey!

Membership covers all training sessions, insurance and affiliation with England Hockey and all of the relevant hockey league bodies.

MATCH FEES

Match Fees for league hockey are £10 per match for senior hockey (£5 for under 16s). Match fees for cup and friendly / tournament hockey are £5 per match.

Junior tournament hockey match fees are £5 for the day.

Summer hockey match fees are variable and are dependent upon the team that you play for (please note that summer hockey is very popular and you may it find it easier to get into a team by joining the club during the league season first).

TRAINING FEES

Training fees are no longer relevant for club members playing senior league hockey (included in membership).

Junior training fees are £5 per session and charged on the night.

HOW DO I REGISTER AS A MEMBER?

Once you’ve been down to a training session and got to know us, assuming that you’d like to join us full-time and play more hockey at Horncastle Hockey Club, you need to register online. Membership can be paid through this portal by registering for a GoCardless account.
