Junior Training: Thursday evenings at 6:00 until 7:15pm 9th September 2021 until 26th May 2022 (term time only).

Horncastle Hockey Club junior training sessions are run by our team of committed volunteer coaches under the supervision of Head Coach from Hurricane Sports. The sessions are aimed to provide both an introduction to hockey for those who have never played before and to continue the development of our junior club members through to the senior squads. Ages of the participants vary from U6 all the way through to U16 level. Older juniors (12+) are encourage to take the step up from junior training to participate in the general senior training session. General senior training sessions follow immediately on from the junior sessions on a Thursday evening.

All our junior coaches hold England Hockey certified coaching qualifications and have been DBS checked.

Senior Training: every Thursday at 7:30 until 9pm 19th August 2022 until 31st March 2022 (Christmas break 16th December to 6th January – to be confirmed)

The club senior training sessions utilise the full pitch (where possible) with the main focus being not only on the development of the senior teams but also to provide older junior club members the opportunity to step up to senior level. The ladies’ senior training session follows straight on from the weekly junior training session allowing up and coming players to phase their participation at senior level.

Horncastle Hockey Club general training is open to all regardless of age or ability and offers a welcoming environment for those looking to take up the sport.

Whilst open to all regardless of age or ability it is intended that this will be an senior training session (i.e. ages 13 and up).
